Legislation for portable long service leave in the Community Services Sector has now been passed by Parliament.
Legislation to extend portable long service leave to the community services sector in South Australia was recently passed in Parliament.
The roles performed by workers in this sector support some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
The Portable Long Service Leave Act 2024 delivers 13 weeks of paid leave to these workers after they have completed 10 years of service in the community services sector.
